Felt and Fiber Bazaar:
We’ve decided to start out the conference with our Fiber Bazaar from 1:00 to 6:00 on August 27 so that those of you traveling long distances can purchase workshop materials and other goodies as soon as you arrive. Participants and outside vendors can sell their felt and fiber-related articles including fiber, supplies, books, equipment and finished goods. If you would like to sell items at this event you may rent one 6-foot table for $20.00. Participants are welcome to share a table with a friend. Please indicate your interest in the Felt and Fiber Bazaar on your registration form.

Registration:
Conference registration will begin at 1:00 and run until 5:00 on August 27. Those attending the second half of the week only will register from 3:00 to 5:00 on August 30.

Mad Hatter’s Cook-out:
We are planning an evening "Mad Hatter’s cook out" (weather permitting)... so bring a felt hat (one you made or borrowed from a friend). There will be prizes and a hat toss contest (by special request from Jorie and Chad).

Lectures, Discussion Groups and Demonstrations:
In addition to presentations by our guest instructors, we plan to offer a special presentation on photographing your felt work. We have invited a professional photographer to share his ideas about how to get professional quality slides without a large equipment investment. We also plan to make time available on the first day for participants to share their knowledge and special talents with others or participate in discussion groups on issues related to feltmaking, such as selling and pricing work, organizing shows, turning professional, etc. If you or your group would like to reserve time during the conference to lead a discussion group or share your work or techniques, please list information on your registration form (or attach separately). We will try to accommodate as many requests as possible in the time available.

Individual Critique:
Felt artist Jorie Johnson will be available to provide on-on-one professional critiques of your work during the first half of the conference. If you think you might be interested, please indicate this on your registration form and we will send you additional information.

Massage:
We plan to retain a professional masseuse to provide full body massages during the "free time" periods of the conference, but we need to get a rough idea of how many people are interested, so please note your interest on the registration form.
